As a Managing Business Developer, you and your team are responsible for further expanding the client portfolio. You make your own team successful and you understand better than anyone how our client can make his or her team successful. This makes you a valued discussion partner for client management and enables you to position yourself as a trusted advisor.

what will you do

As a Managing Business Developer you are responsible for tapping into new markets. This can be in any sector in which the top 200 companies in the Netherlands operate. You initiate new business activities together with your team and take an active role in the further development of new business lines. In this role you are responsible for the entire new business process, from research into new promising markets to closing the first deals.
In addition, you hire the right colleagues and you know how to develop them into successful Business Developers. Various activities are:

  • Development of New Business strategy within the sectors selected by you;
  • Training and coaching team members and monitoring their performance;
  • Active contribution to the Sales Talent Program for the training of junior Business Developers;
  • Building a network and generating business from it;
  • Customer relationship management at (senior) management level;
  • Advise relationships on how to build a successful team. You are also responsible for the implementation of this;
  • Optimizing the client experience.

You will be given full responsibility for building a new customer portfolio. After setting up a new business unit, you have the choice to expand it further or to focus on other new markets. We always appreciate our own initiative and an innovative approach.

You are enthusiastic, driven and have a passion for tapping into new markets. Furthermore you have:

  • Completed an education at HBO or WO level;
  • 3+ years of work experience in a commercial position;
  • A house in the Randstad area;
