Our Approach | development programs
In today's rapidly changing landscape of talent development, organizations have recognized that values are not only essential for shaping their overall culture but also for fostering the growth and development of their employees. Values serve as guiding principles that define an organization's identity, beliefs, and behaviors.

When organizations integrate these values into their talent development programs, they create an environment that goes beyond training and skill-building. We know it works, because at Mploy Associates we have implemented this. This article further elaborates on values and development.

Organizational values are crucial for shaping culture and driving engagement. Integrating them into talent development programs is equally vital. Here are the top three reasons why:
When talent development programs are rooted in organizational values it ensures that employees develop not only the necessary competencies but also embody the values that drive the organization's success.
Values act as the foundation of organizational culture. When talent development programs align with these values, they reinforce and strengthen the desired culture throughout the organization. This alignment fosters a positive and unified work environment, enhancing collaboration and teamwork.
When employees see that the organization's values are reflected in their development opportunities, they feel a sense of connection, purpose, and fulfillment. Research has shown that this alignment fosters a stronger emotional bond between employees and the organization, increasing their commitment, satisfaction, and loyalty. And we all know that engaged employees are more likely to stay with the organization.
When you want to translate your organizational values to your development values it is good to keep in mind that your organizational values serve as the foundation for your development values. I would like to share my experience at Mploy Associates, where we embrace the values of being driven, responsible, and outstanding. We have translated these organizational values to our development values; empowering, personal, and knowledgeable. Let me explain how:
Driven (company value) -> Empowering (development value): The value of being driven, which emphasizes determination, ambition, and a strong work ethic, aligns with the talent program value of empowering. When employees are empowered, they have the tools, resources, and autonomy to take ownership of their own development and make impactful decisions. In this way our development value “empowering” is linked to the organizational value “driven”.
Responsible (company value) -> Personal (development value): The value of being responsible, which highlights accountability, integrity, and ethical conduct, is connected to the talent program value of personal. In talent development, we believe personalization is key to acknowledging employees as individuals with unique strengths and development needs. By adopting a personalized approach, you demonstrate a responsible commitment to supporting employees' personal growth, ensuring their professional journey aligns with their goals and values.
Outstanding (company value) -> Knowledgeable (development value): The value of being outstanding, which reflects a commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and exceptional performance, resonates with the talent program value of knowledgeable. By fostering a knowledgeable environment, we equip employees with the expertise and insights needed to excel and contribute to the organization's outstanding achievements.
So, in this way the companies’ values serve as the inspiration and guiding force behind the specific values embedded in our talent programs.
I understand the need for clarity on the practical significance of integrating values into talent programs. Let's quickly delve into the specific effects this integration has on the design and execution of our talent programs at Mploy Associates.
An example of how our value "personal" is implemented in our programs is the fact that all our development programs are tailor made. Together with their personal talent manager (another example of how this value is implemented) and lead, our employees decide on their development goals themselves. With guidance from their talent manager every employee creates a personal talent development plan in which the learning goals are connected to different courses and/or coaching to help them reach their goals and develop into the professional they want to become.
The value “Knowledgeable” is shown by the fact that all our trainings are based on scientific research and literature. Next to this we make sure that all our trainers are certified (NOBTRA) and all our coaches are certified (NOBCO or EIA).
The value “Empowering” is integrated in all our development programs because our employees are in the lead of their own development. This means they can choose what development goals they want to work on. It is up to them to decide if they want to follow up (or not) on specific feedback that is given by their lead. Next to this we find it very important that our employees feel empowered after a training or a coaching session. We try to make sure that this happens by focusing on our employees’ strengths while they develop new competencies. More information about this topic can be found in the blog about competence and strength based development.
Summarized, at Mploy Associates, we found that when we include development values aligned with our company's values, our employees don't just learn new skills, they also adopt our organization's main beliefs. This makes them feel more attached to our company. We see that this connection between values and how they're part of our Talent Programs strengthens employees' sense of belonging, purpose, and satisfaction, which boosts their loyalty and dedication.
At Mploy Associates we demonstrate how turning company values (like being Driven, Responsible, and Outstanding) into development values (like Empowering, Personal, and Knowledgeable) helps empower employees, provide personalized growth, and build expertise. And this leads to an organization where people like to work and develop.
