Frequently asked questions

What does the application process look like?

Apply for a position that fits your ambitions best. Within 3 business days we will contact you and invite you for a career coaching session in which we discover your potential and ambitions.

If we do see a match, you will be introduced to our client's team or our own consulting team for an intake assessment and interview. When you and we are still positive, the onboarding process will be initiated to ensure a smooth start of your new career.

What does my career path look like?

Entry level consultants usually start in one of our client projects to become an expert in data, finance or analytics. After two years you have the opportunity to take your next career move at the client or proceed as a medior consultant at Mploy Associates.  As a medior consultant you can grow into a managing role and eventually a directors position.

Why not work directly at the client?

By having a career with Mploy Associates, you develop a growth mindset and experience a steeper learning curve. This has a significant positive effect on career opportunities and associated benefits. After a two-year Mploy Associates career, our people typically have higher incomes and a faster career pace than their peers.

What kind of projects?

Let's give a glimpse: from implementing DQ controls, developing dashboards and monitoring data quality in Power BI to aggregating data in SQL, SAS and Python. From implementing new data pipelines in Azure to rapid application development. From optimizing reporting processes to delivering regulatory tax reports. From trading complex derivatives to developing quantitative models in SAS, Matlab, or Python. And much more.

At which locations do I work during a week?

In a consulting role you typically work 1-2 days a week at the client's office, 1-2 days at the Mploy Associates office and 1-2 days from home. Depending on your preferences, you can divide your working week over different locations.

What are the fringe benefits?

  • Half-day a week in-house professional and technical training combined with personal coaching
  • The possibility to work from home several days a week
  • A monthly internet and work-from-home allowance
  • Public transport card
  • An external development budget of €2,000 per year to obtain relevant certifications as FRM or CFA
  • A work-from-home office setup allowance for an ergonomically-correct workstation
  • 25 days of paid annual leave
  • A good pension scheme with a limited personal contribution
  • Regular fun team activities

What are alumni doing nowadays?

Most of our alumni do make a big career step in their next role. For instance as head of data issue management or as a senior quant modeller reponsible for several projects and junior team members. Other alumni become service owner, product owner or become a member in national working groups to get fair policy prices.

What kind of pro bono projects?

Recently, we advised War Child and Medicines Sans Frontiers on their funding and logistic challenges using state-of-the-art forecasting methods. Other examples are predicting humanitarian disasters or identifying risk factors for certain diseases. In this way we try to contribute to the world of tomorrow as well.
